Foveal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 June 2026
Foveal saves each analysis — including the image you upload — privately to your account, so you can revisit past checks. Your analyses are visible only to you, never shared, and you can delete any of them at any time.
Who we are
Foveal is a tool by Kinoko Studio (Hong Kong), available at foveal.kinokostudio.com.hk. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.
How your image is handled
When you run a check, your image is uploaded over an encrypted connection to our analysis server and analysed there. We then save the result — the attention heatmap and looking-order — together with the original image to your private analysis history, so you can revisit past checks. Your analyses are tied to your account, visible only to you, never shared, and never used to train models or for any purpose other than showing them back to you. They are stored in access-controlled storage and you can delete them at any time.
What we store
When you sign in with Google, we store your email and name, your credit balance, and a record of any purchases, so your credits carry across visits. We also save your analysis history — the attention results and the images you analyse — keeping your most recent 50 analyses; older ones are deleted automatically, and you can delete any analysis yourself at any time. A cookie keeps you signed in, your browser remembers your language choice, and — outside the EEA/UK — Google Analytics sets cookies to measure usage (see below).
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to see how people use Foveal so we can improve it — things like which pages are visited and rough, aggregated usage. This uses cookies and a pseudonymous identifier plus approximate location; it does not identify you by name, and we do not use it for advertising or remarketing.
For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics is off by default and no analytics cookies are set. Everywhere else (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), analytics is on by default; you can opt out anytime with a browser analytics/ad blocker, Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking this site's cookies. We manage this with Google Consent Mode, and Google processes the data under its own privacy policy. Separately, our host Cloudflare may process standard, aggregated request logs to keep the site secure and reliable.
Third parties we rely on
Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Google (sign-in, plus Google Analytics & Tag Manager for usage measurement), and Stripe (payments). Each handles your data under its own privacy policy. Your image goes only to our own analysis server to produce the result, and is then saved to your private history as described above; we never send it to any other third party.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, such as under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance or the GDPR in the EEA and UK. You can delete any saved analysis (and its image) yourself in the app, and you can ask us to show or delete all your account data — email, name, credit and purchase history, and your saved analyses — at any time using the contact below.
Children
Foveal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
